Doug is a senior trial attorney who practices equally in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Prior to his time at Morgan & Morgan, he was an equity partner at a large law firm with offices throughout the Northeast which specialized in civil litigation defense. During his 20 years at this firm, Doug tried approximately 50 trials in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He understands how cases are defended, and how insurance companies think, which he uses to guide his practice as an attorney for injured people.
Doug comes from a unique background having worked in numerous civilian law enforcement positions. While obtaining his Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University he worked for the Boston Police Department in the Cold Case Squad in the Homicide Unit. He also spent time working for the Massachusetts State Police in the Crime Lab before deciding to pursue law school. He applies his experience in investigations to his cases to achieve the best results for his clients.
During law school, Doug worked for State Street Corporation as a Mutual Fund Account Controller.
After law school, Doug worked as a Massachusetts Superior Court Law Clerk, where he worked to provide research and assistance to judges throughout Massachusetts, having been stationed in numerous courthouses.
Doug was born and raised in the Boston area, and now lives in northern Rhode Island with his wife and two step-children along with three dogs and two miniature horses.
